My take is this: as far as Japan is concerned, just don't hold your breath. Amongst people from Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China, the only people who seem to understand what is going on, are actually the ones from mainland China, living under a supposedly Communist regime.
Yeah I know, you will have in your mind Hazmat suit and forced quarantine camps, but if you go to China now in 2024, absolutely no one seem to care. Unlike Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong, where people still mask up when it's 35 degrees Celsius outside with 99% humidity, and they are still discussing whether they should go for their ninth booster.
Oh, and by the way, 85-year-old uncle Joe, previously healthy and strong as a cow, all of a sudden is diagnosed with some sort of weird cancer, it's stage four and his days are numbered.
Of course no one is able to connect the dots, and if you now ask how many jabs Uncle Joe has taken, you are a moron. They seem to have forgotten, only a couple of years ago, the waiter guarding the door at a Chinese restaurant was entitled to ask the same thing, when I was trying to go in and get some Dim Sum with Uncle Joe.

I am in Tokyo right now. I wouldn't hold much hope. There's still a lot of masks. Yes, I know they were mask fans before but that's the problem. Masks don't work - didn't pre-covid, still don't. Probably do more harm than good, especially in a dirty, sweatbox like Tokyo. Yet , they still wear them. Unless someone in authority does something, nothing will happen here, not by the will of the people, in spite of what is shared on the TV, IMO.
And as for the visit... I was here 25 years ago. It was a lot better then, vibrant and exciting. Now, it's dead, like zombie town. Still lots of people but no life, just shufflers.

Their NHK annual New Year’s show’s theme this year was “borderless”, so a bit surprised (and a bit suspicious) at this show. I expect the damage is beyond deniability. While it is encouraging to see that Japans national broadcaster has done this, we cannot be fooled into thinking that Japan is not on the World Economic Forum's global team, because they absolutely and utterly are.

Japan's ruling elites treat the Japanese no better than the ruling elites of the rest of the world - because we are all under the multiple slavery systems of the Money Monopoly and Monopoly Capitalism - democracy is a joke, because the uni-party, which are the ruling oligarchs of the monarchies, the bankers and the billionaires - they own and control both sides of all political systems in all countries - there is no democracy, it is all an illusion, using the principle of divide and conquer.
The true power running the world is the Deep State, made up of the agents of the monarchies, bankers and billionaires, and it has always been this way. Some time ago I started to call this group the Roman Empire Cartel, and then I transitioned to the Zion Imperial Empire, as all roads lead to Zion, but it is probably more accurate to rename them the Crown Imperial Empire, because the Evil that rules humanity has always been, and still is, the Crown Monarchy Rule, the totalitarianism of the rule of oligarchy, and the division of society into rulers and slaves, where the slaves are kept hungry, ignorant, and weak, and enclosed in systems of wealth extraction.
The Japanese people are facing the same struggle the rest of humanity is facing.
Our elites have come out of the cupboard and bared their truly ugly fascist nature and desires, and are hell bent on forcing us into a dystopian digital prison planet system using technology, 5G, smartphones and digital currency with a CBDC, a central bank digital currency, the ultimate slavery device - if they pull that off, which they are pushing forward on today, then many will be lost to a system that is nothing more than digital COMMUNISM.
And for this we can thank the richest people in the world - the monarchies, bankers, and billionaires, because they are funding all of the tyranny.
