The government are obviously actively preventing objective scrutiny of this bill. The committee voted - 14 to 8 - NOT to hear evidence from the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and essentially said the GMC was sufficient medical input. What? The GMC is a provably criminal organisation, and our FOI in 2022 confirms that GMC UK employs TWO (2) doctors and ninety-seven (97) solicitors. How can they begin to understand the complex issues which real doctors face in caring for real patients who are terminally ill, or simply in despair, or how these situations can be manipulated and distorted? This is a travesty.
Many thanks for rasing this crucial bill. They want to rush it to allow for the removal of the unwanted in society and those injured by the vaccines etc. A truly evil bill dressed in fake compassion.
Hmmm! This thought had not occurred to me, but I can see that you might be right in your supposition that one of the motives might be to get rid of the avalanche of vaccine disabled people before they become too obvious. If so, then the bill must be resisted for that reason alone. The pathological control freaks responsible for the covid vaccination atrocity must bear the consequences of their heartless actions.
more "physicians" can give shorter life expectancies for sick patients, and encourage "less suffering" and saving $$ on treatments by just dying already!
Yes. Of course people will make money from the dying process too. It has been said many times before but the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.
Just another way to reduce population. Did you know?
''There is no specific offence of dying by suicide in Scotland and therefore - unlike in England and Wales - no specific offence of assisting someone to commit suicide.''
Our societies have wittingly rejected the commandment “Though shalt not kill.” We do not recognize God to be our Creator and King. All the arguments about capacity, consent, coercion etc. are easily manipulated to justify killing because the religious and moral foundation which should inform them is in ruins.
Wise words indeed from Rabbi Sacks. While leading the world in assisted dying, I find it ironic that Canada is also the world leader in suicide prevention through an organisation called Living Works whose training programmes have been translated into many languages and for over forty years have helped to keep communities, including the UK, safer from suicide.
Living Works approach the topic of assisted dying in the same way as when people express thoughts of accessing any other intentional means to end their lives. This can only lead to one conclusion, if assisted dying can go so dreadfully wrong in Canada, it's even more likely to go wrong in the UK.
If you can forgive the ‘fact checking’, this facilitated discussion between two Canadian doctors, one of them a psychiatrist who opposes assisted dying, should serve as a warning that we’re going about it the wrong way.
I think Rabbi Sacks is correct it is a regressive move, instead of providing quality palliative care for people we will cut straight to the chase and give them the "opportunity" on ending their life quickly. People could be pushed into this because they are not being given access to proper support eg. pain and symptom control, financial support or even just practical help in the home, any one of these can cause distress leading to thoughts of ending their life through external causes that could have been eliminated with a little effort. This Bill could become the very easy way out for our already overburdened health and social services both financially and also eliminating the need to provide staff for good, high quality palliative care.
This is an interesting and necessary conversation. I have seen a video from Canada alleging that their MAID programme was so rapidly extended to include young people because of the high value of young organs for transplant.
The maker of the video alleges that nearly all the MAID subjects are asked to donate organs before death and agree, believing this to be a philanthropic action, without realising that the Canadian Hospitals are independent businesses and can sell the harvested organs, usually to the US.
A human body can be worth 4 million dollars and possibly more for younger organs, so the profit motive corrupts medical decisions.
It has also occurred to me that one motive for extending the MAID qualifying illnesses to those questionable diseases of lower morbidity, might be to release healthier organs for transplant. This would put at risk patients who are not actually dying of their disease.
I cannot find my original link, so am writing from memory, nor can I independently confirm these details, but the information in this video was concerning.
MAiD in Canada has forced me to seriously reconsider this topic.
I strongly believe somebody should be able to end their own life without having to resort to the measures left to them with prohibition.
The Canadian system though has shown the 'thin end of the wedge argument' has serious merit.
No resolution for me atm, as an aside the Rabbi talks about Judeo-Christian values, a quick look and it seems Islam is dead set against all forms of PAS.
I guess GPs and others involved with caring can refuse to accede to patients requests in this matter? Should the legislation receive royal whatever of course. “Sorry, I don’t do early deaths. That’s the next office down, next to admin and accounts. Thanks.”
Edit - this has raised additional thoughts for me, concerning societal attitudes to births and whether there is some corollary between how we deal with unwanted pregnancies and now, unwanted lives (after having successfully jumped the hurdle of your parents actually wanting to keep you).
Optimal solution is to eliminate all drug and prescription laws. Any adult can purchase any drug they like with no prescription required. Each individual can control their most precious asset---their life. Government and their employees (doctors) should have no say in the matter.

Thanks - I could have said more on the GMC, so have updated it to incorporate.
Criminal is right. In fact General medical council anagrams to 'concealed criminal glue' so I think the title explains what it is about.

It feels we are going to hell in a hand basket so often now :(

I follow Dr. Vernon Coleman and his very vocal stand in opposition to this awful and evil situation in the UK (and on so much else).
Sadly, with that government and others, if it doesn't want to hear an opposing viewpoint, it doesn't , and that very much includes Dr. Coleman's.
Thank you for sharing! From across the pond
Are we surprised. This government seems hell bent on disregarding and form of due diligence & proper process.
The reasons why don't really matter. Their actions, or lack thereof, are all that matters.
This m reckless disregard for safety & due diligence started with the Johnson government (with regards to rush injection approvals).
If one was to ponder on this, one might conclude they are happy to kill people off.

They are jealous of Canada's death success.

The bill reduces the liability of the UK gov for all the vaxx injuries.
