Thank you for still writing on this very important topic. In David R. Hamilton PhD's book The Contagious Power of Thinking is an interesting chapter on Contagious Fear. The whole book is excellent, but that particular chapter is very relevant to recent times. Worth reading if you haven't already.

A fictional disease that is defined by a complex of symptoms that are common and virtually indistinguishable from those of common upper respiratory disorders is especially liable to be heavily influenced by the nocebo effect. Add to that the complete unreliability of the so-called "tests" and one can be sure that all the statistics quoted are useless.

I used to be paranoid about my health, especially my physical condition. My neck was frakked up and my energy was low. I felt doomed.

COVID made me look into the science and I saw that the whole medical system and its established "science" was full of bullshit.

I also found the real science of health. Fix the anxiety, not just mental but physical. Connect to the body. I'm still healing but I'm finally feeling alive, like my body is doing what the doctors said cannot happen.

The nocebo effect is indeed very powerful.

Here's a clip about it from a show called Legion.

And here's a lot more, some of which also apply to the COVID event. Social contagion is one of them....

This. "But the most notable thing about the article is that - having attempted to use the idea of the nocebo effect to wash away or minimise the harms from the covid vaccines - it does not mention the fact that the exact same mechanisms it cites would certainly have been at play as a result of the relentless negative government propaganda and insane testing apparatus used to support the lie that a novel dangerous pathogen was spreading around the world."

Of course, the article did not mention that the spread of the "virus" could also be part and parcel of the nocebo effect. I would assert that is because the article was gaslighting! Otherwise, how could it assert that vaccine injury is "all in your head" while simultaneously NOT admitting that "covid was all in your head, too." It would not shock me if the same author came out with a new article that said, "thankfully, the REAL vaccine can fix both maladies." :-)

A bit different from social media and propaganda influences: behavioral cues via technology that make the user think a normal physiological event is a sign of oncoming illness that requires a response.

Many thanks - it's an important topic. Loved the point about the lack of long term testing for drugs which are administered long term.

Add in that the numbers of the placebo and drug arm are fudged anyway, and we have a negative benefit for virtually every drug.

24/7 media bombardment of ‘covid symptoms’ probably caused the public to experience a condition similar to ‘Medical students disease’ (perceiving themselves to be experiencing the symptoms of a disease they are studying).

Those responsible for the ‘pandemic’ would have known this would happen.

"However, the author doesn’t seem to be able to link this to the effects of propaganda combined with internet-augmented spread of social contagion."

Perhaps the author knows the perimeters to stay within in order to be published.

Thanks, good read. I have no doubt social contagion played a big role.
