I was an early signatory. It was of it's time. As a doctor of forty years, mostly working in general practice the language used seemed sane and in keeping with what I then thought I knew! Also, it was such a a relief to find that others across the world saw things as I did. But I've unlearned so much, and agree- it was ballox!

It was, all of it, bar the "Current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health."

But not because of reducing vaccine uptake which is a positive boon. I would not have said that before 2020 but my eyes were opened thankfully.

The virus was invented for "us" to take the jab (nanoparticles) - no so called virus has ever been isolated nor proven to be transmittable. Even "they admit it" plus "It has been estimated that there are over 380 trillion viruses inhabiting us, a community collectively known as the human virome. But these viruses are not the dangerous ones"....

Q = Sorry, back to your comment ... what else did the lockdowns allow ? ....

A = (Ok, just my answer) ... a huge network of surveillance cameras, towers (for 5G), paving of roads in cities and towns (smart cities and 15 minute neighbourhoods) and other implication of the Globalist agenda !... with any opponents beaten to s*** by so called law enforcement FOR BREAKING LOCKDOWN.

Do not even start me off on "they'd be particularly averse to any suggestion that the authorities purposely murdered people using ventilators, drugs such as Midazolam".... ah damn, you have, so here I go.....

1. My Mum, yes in her early eighties, was like life and soul of the party; BUT YES she had Kidney problems; but after the jab (second one), she became very ill. She was taken to a private hospital - where she was recovering, but stupidly her insurance (for said private hospital was limited !!!!!!!!??????), so she moved to some NHS trust (in The UK), where she deteriorated from day 1. OK.... jumping ahead (I live abroad, told my Dad and Sister to get her out aap ... but NO, they new best and both now seem to live for the next jab... TO FEEL SAFE FFS) .....anyway...

In NHS hospital, for 2 weeks .... a) My Dad visited her one morning (only allowed 1 visitor at the time back then, even though it was just before Christmas) ... he noticed her intravenous drip, WITH HER MEDICINE was switched off... nurse BS'd about sorry but just mistake, no harm done. By then, somehow, she was severely dehydrated, but could not eat or drink - she could not swallow - even if she was given anything (my Dad and sister had to "sneak in water or a can of juice to her) ? WHY ?.

Then they stated "Midazolam and Morphine" - genocidal b'tards.... (my lot were stopped going home to visit until too late)..anyway, she passed over on the first Jan 2013... and I have no doubt at all; she was murdered. I have read reports ranging from 40,000, to 100, 000 others patients have also had the same conclusion - WHY ?; to push the CONVID BLLX.

I signed the GBD also. I admit, even though I’m an MD with an immunology background, I was brainwashed by the constant fearmongering. In retrospect it looks (and is/was) nonsensical. Dr B is being touted as a great choice for the NIH Director. Yet he refuses to engage, as far as I know, in any dialogue with either you or Jessica Hockett about the fact that the whole pandemic was faked, as they always are. How does this qualify him if he, like his predecessor, doesn’t promote open scientific discourse?

Thanks Jonathan. Just the tip of the iceberg as to the underlying damage that has (and is) being done from the actions still pushed by the authors of the GBD.

From flawed testing to mandated COVID shots (for healthcare workers), deadly isolation and so much more. All based on a fundamental lie of the COVID 'Case'.

As has become all too frequent, your points are well taken and wonderfully communicated.

I admit that I DESPERATELY do not want to place the authors of the GBD on the side of "the enemy." That said, many tenets upon which the horrendous response during the GCDF was based reflect approaches and beliefs expressed within that document. Unfortunate, but true.

(As an aside, even now John Ioannidis, an ostensible champion of a more reasonable approach based upon the Diamond Princess data, published a paper, based upon a model, illustrating how many lives the mRNA vaccines saved!)

"Nice guy" Jay Bhattacharya advocated for masks, partial lockdowns/restrictions and (anti) social distancing throughout 2020.

Jay said he "admired Cornell University's response" which included forcing injections, masks and firing employees who resisted the mandates.

Here he is speaking at Cornell:

"As I said, I admired the Cornell response while watching it from, from Stanford. It's a tremendously difficult choice with constraints from, from all over the place and manage that as best as possible. There's no way to do it perfectly where everyone's happy. This was just not possible."

From Aug. 2020 here is Bhattacharya and John Ioannidis advocating for masks, lockdowns and social distancing.

We all knew at the time that the 'response ' to the ?virus was hugely irregular and authoritarian, but none of us had 20/20 vision (no pun intended).

I saw through the hoax of lockdowns and masks immediately, but fell for the vaccine hoax, naively believing it would be the solution to the idiocy.

Don't be overly critical of those who continue to support the GBD, and don't forget you're on the same side. The 'virus' was only one element of a cultural/economic power war, even if it was a decisive victory for 'opposition '.

As Jay Bhartachaya said himself, we may have come to the end of 400 years of the Enlightenment. Those of us who comprehend that should feel comfortable with our relatively minor disagreements.

Thank you for sharing your journey through Corona - it has impacted different people in very different ways.

I am a retired, married person and was 69 yrs old when the Corona event started.

Certainly two of our three daughters took the vaccine, not under mandate, but one to travel and the other, an NHS doctor, I suspect because of peer pressure (I think she understood the risks). Very many of my (then) friends also got vaccinated and urged me to do so but by then I had seen through the scam by simply looking at the Italian data which my wife had fortunately found. In naively trying warn friends and family about the greatest criminal illusion in all of history (as I saw it and tried to express it in cartoon drawings), I lost very many friends due to my ‘extreme’ views. The worst aspect of this great crime I think is the psychological effect on people which has caused a real divide in society. Meanwhile, this silent war of technocracy, which has been called the Omniwar, and for which I think Corona was the initiating staged event, rolls on with most people unaware they are being attacked. Due to the deliberately induced divisions in society caused in large part by never-before-experienced levels of propaganda, it has become difficult or impossible to engage with people on the other side and even among differing groups on the ‘freedom’ side. Somehow we have to get back to being able to have civil discourse.

Uh, no- to pretty much everything you said.

Didn't need 20/20 anything or a crystal ball or tea leaves just needed to know a little history which in these times would have taken well about one single hour to figure out that it was fraud from the get go. Some of us were warning people and fighting against the coming extortion in Feb. 2020 and offered all of these people ample sources and opportunities to see through this con.

Not only is what I'm saying here UNDERLY critical, as most of these people should be in prison, but I am absolutely NOT on the side of any of these people and stand in direct opposition to their stands then and to what they hold to believe true now. Ioannidis' latest published chunk of garbage is just another example.

If you (or anyone) couldn't figure out that a corporation convicted of over 70 felony offenses was not exactly involved in the "public good" I don't know what to say.

Folks like Jay and countless others are part of the problem and stand in the way of people understanding the medical syndicate and the countless crimes they commit.

Circa 2024 it is easy to get 100's of countries on board via various "contracts" and "obligations" that these countries must adhere to or they will get punished through various sanctions courtesy of the IMF, World Bank etc.

They just run the operations through the WHO, UN, NATO.

Wiping out large numbers of people, especially pensioners, is a bonus in the eyes of these ghoulish eugenicists.

Glad to see there are still some out there that won't let this crime against humanity pass. I'm astounded that so many - even those who were resisting it - have essentially memory holed it and moved on. Millions dead, injured for life, and destroyed and the death toll from this crime spree and the injection is far from over. I'm still furious at myself for buying for one second that this scam ever existed at the start. Four or five years in, there's no excuse in the world to attach any validity to ANY of it. There was no pandemic and there was no viral entity called Covid19.

The left went completely insane, and what's even more disturbing here is that guys like Bhattacharya, Oz, and RFK are now in tow with Captain Warp Speed/Ventilator King Trump as supposed opposition to any of it. Beyond laughable. Controlled opposition doesn't even begin to cover this madness.

Hope you're well man. Don't ever back off from exposing the depravity that took place. It's not over. It will never be over. Never forget.

What I was astounded at was how suddenly moronic and a-historical most of the Marxist, socialists etc. became virtually overnight. You'd think they would apply some economic analysis and historical context to the operation but not only did they avoid this they rebuffed anyone who tried to address the corona crisis in these terms.

So much for historical materialism.

Deep denial at a level I've never seen.

I've lost family, friends, and more for not backing down and speaking out. I'm sure you've experienced the same. I've watched some of them lose their friends and family members way too early from the injection. Many sickened and a shell of their former selves. Still, it doesn't click in their minds. The declaration made a kind of sense if it was an attempt to shift government policy, in the belief that this was more likely to succeed than outright opposition. If that was indeed the intention, then it failed and should have been withdrawn. Ideally the 3 main sponsors would now publicly repudiate it, and assert that the whole idea of “protection” was misguided. The last thing we need is the GBD to provide government with a blueprint for the next (real or imagined) “pandemic”.

Like so many, the past five years have been a steep curve of re-learning, including a careful study of the methodologically impoverished field of 'virology'. Careful review of early papers (Almeida & Tyrrell 1967) "corona", (Smith, Andrews, & Laidlaw 1933) "influenza" serves to highlight the virological retreat to computer generated in silico constructs with any absence of direct and indirect evidence of an in vivo biological entity referred to as a contagious, self-replicating intracellular parasite. This remains a phantasmagorical construct looking for a 'germ'. At the same time, multiple glaring insults to health, well being and productive longevity afflict humanity, not least among which number the intentional and unethical actions of those determined to poison a majority.

I agree with others, that the Great Barrington Declaration was for a time and the only thing which seemed rational and hopeful in the utter madness of what was going on. I too signed it with reservations on focussed protection, testing and vaccines but it was still an improvement on what we had and an acceptable option for sowing seeds of doubt. As sceptics (for want of a better word), we had an additional burden with our views which were at odds with family members, friends, colleagues and neighbours. We were desperate for them to see how much was wrong so the declaration possibly exploited our vulnerability and subtly coerced us into colluding with measures we instinctively knew were wrong. The GBD presents a model that could be seen as a more rational response to the 'next pandemic' and I suspect the model that the various inquiries could well recommend on the basis that the sceptics were right after all and they've endorsed this alternative and less harmful approach. I'm shifting my position and agree that signatures, especially prominent ones, should be removed or better still, the declaration should be withdrawn.

Good summary of why I signed it initially.

The long overdue need to revise or withdraw it isn’t just an academic nicety.

The existence of this Declaration is contributing to actual ongoing harm, as described by David Dickson. His MiL’s care home isn’t a one-off by any means, and Canada in general isn’t a total outlier.

The withdrawal of the Declaration and an admission that its premises were faulty could go a long way towards encouraging those people still in the fear zone (which includes many HCWs) to reject the ongoing harmful “measures”.

This would improve the lives of many, prevent ongoing deaths, and help slow down or stop the pandemic preparedness industry, which is currently attempting to transform our society inexorably into a biosecurity surveillance state run for the benefit of the pharma-industrial complex and various technocratic collaborators.

The GBD has not aged well and you’re correct to disassociate from it Jonathan. ‘Focused protection’ in reality becomes social isolation and neglect of vulnerable people, and is, inevitably, a hugely damaging, counterproductive and cruel policy. That much should’ve been obvious 4 years ago.

I have said it was helpful at the time but it might have been only in the limited sense as I did know that COVID 19 was a psy op by then, June 2020 in reality.

But rereading it I realise they are talking in the main a load of bollox. This much they say is true though:

Howard Steen's avatar

I had not read it either. I have come to realise there is a very big problem with the very idea of ‘public health’ which underpins this declaration and most health systems. When it comes to health care, the right treatment can surely only be judged based on an individual’s needs and not some idea of a consensus treatment for ‘the public’, or a certain group ‘the vunerable’ etc which by definition cannot be diagnosed and treated. Many of the highlighted objections to the declaration rightly point out that an individual’s real needs are going to be ignored in a ‘one solution fits all’ consensus generated approach. Words matter perhaps more than we realise in this context. How about instead of having a ‘Public Health System’ with all its communistic, collectivist connotations, we instead have an ‘Individual Health System’ i.e. an individual patient-centric one. That just might reset people’s thinking in a good way.

That is one big problem well highlighted in this article. The other is the total failure to update worn out and useless models of what causes people to become sick. Out of the present understanding has come only useless protocols, masking, (anti)social distancing and tests etc. Instead of ‘dedicating themselves’ to public health, these epidemiologists should face reality, realise their ‘models’ do not match reality in the slightest and get their ossified science in order.

Hi Howard,

This is unrelated to the topic at hand but thought you might be interested in the information as it relates to Biontech and Germany. I sent this out to an associate earlier:

BioNTech was founded in 2008 with a seed investment of €150 million from MIG Capital, a Munich-based venture capital firm, and AT Impf, an investment vehicle under control of the single family office of German billionaire twin brother/billionaire investors the Strüngmann brothers.

They built their fortunes through biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Total family assets are roughly $30 billion among the wealthiest Germans.

In August 2018 Biontech entered into a multi-year research and development (R&D) collaboration with the US company Pfizer, Inc. to develop mRNA-based vaccines for prevention of influenza.

In September 2019, BioNTech received a capital contribution of US$55 million from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

October 10, 2019 BioNTech offers its IPO and values it at $3.4 billion in one of the largest biotech listings of all time.

December 2019 BioNTech received a €50 million loan, to finance the development of its patient-specific immunotherapies for the treatment of cancer and other serious diseases, from the European Investment Bank (EIB) as part of the European Commission Investment Plan for Europe.

The EIB then signed a €100 million loan in June 2020, after an accelerated approval (two months for a process that usually takes more than a year). This financing helped BioNTech's vaccine trials and manufacturing. The EIB loan is part of the InnovFin Corporate Research Equity programme and the European Fund for Strategic Investments.

This programme supports "innovative and higher-risk projects" backed by the European Investment Bank with a guarantee from the European Union budget.

Mar 18, 2020 · Despite a roiling market, Germany’s billionaire twins, Thomas and Andreas Struengmann, each got $1.4 billion richer.

2023- Secretive German billionaire twins cut Covid vaccine bet after banking 550% gain.

Thank you Allen, this is very interesting information. I had not come across the Strüngmann brothers. I found this 2006 article about them ( English translation in Google) https://www.manager-magazin.de/unternehmen/karriere/a-406864.html

It seems that in the industry they were known as ‘the pirates’ for their ability to take risks (with quality among other things). Andreas himself was a physician and no doubt that helped get their products into distribution. The article mentions however that doctors at that time were reluctant to prescribe their products.

I think two things enabled their “success story” with the BioNTech vaccine.

1. The subversion of the European regulator in order to get the EUA.

In the German speaking world of Corona sceptics, we learned about this in early 2021 from a ‘whistleblower’ cell biologist, Vanessa Schmidt-Krüger. She provided a detailed technical analysis of the scandalous approval of BioNTech product (which I translated). She intended to provide more on the other products but then became suspiciously silent. Another whistleblower, toxicologist Dr Stefan Hockertz was persecuted by the police state and had to flee the country.

2. ‘Public Health’ to the rescue

In 2009 when the GSK vaccine was being pushed on the German population to ‘immunise’ against the fake Swine flu pandemic, German doctors, who had more autonomy then, were suspicious and would not vaccinate their patients. The whole vaccine roll out was a big failure. Nevertheless more than 1000 children in Europe (mainly Scandinavian countries where socialised medicine promoted mass vaccinations) were left suffering with narcolepsy.

In 2021, the public health authorities ensured vaccine uptake by cutting out the risk of leaving it to individual doctor practices with the innovation of large vaccination centres. This had never been done before in Germany.

This is the stuff of how large fortunes are made in the Pharma industry!

Hi Jonathan, thanks for your post. I think the biggest omission in the Great Barrington Declaration is the absence of any reference to early multi-drug treatment with cheap effective generics like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, vitamin D, zinc, etc for ANY respiratory infection.

I believe humanity was so traumatised by this psy-op that even a slight sore throat was considered potentially lethal. Instead of telling people to use nasal and throat sprays, gargles and lozenges to ward off impending infection (as I often successfully do), they led us to believe we had this supposed novel coronavirus that was untreatable.

The Drosten PCR tests subverted Dr Kary Mullis's Nobel-prize-winning invention to create a "pandemic" of false-postives, often with "Covid cases" having no symptoms.

Then all the GBD measures and worse were imposed, leading to the murder of thousands of helpless, isolated mainly elderly people in ICUs or care homes.

Remember, Trump used hydroxychloroquine to treat his supposed Covid. Then came ivermectin. Whether these were treating a novel coronavirus or simply colds and flu, patients got better remarkably quickly when actually treated.

Others, told to hang on until they couldn't breathe, fared far worse when admitted to hospital.

All this, of course, was designed to enable big pharma to get emergency use authorisation for the novel-technology genetic mRNA injections fraudulently marketed as vaccines.

It was a massive scam to introduce this new type of genetic "vaccine" to humanity and normalise it.

Hopefully RFK Jr, who has written extensively about Fauci's nefarious role in both the AIDS scam and the Covid Con, will take firm steps as Health Secretary to root out this evil abuse of the public health system.

I don’t agree. “Early treatment” is just part of the psy-op. There was nothing necessitating any kind of response. The pandemic was a fake made-up construct.

The reason “early treatment” seemed effective was that it stopped people going to hospital, which is where the atrocities - put down as “covid deaths” - happened.

(I make an exception for the antibiotic component which may have had some relevance but not for the spring 2020 “first wave”.)
