Please be patient....
Introducting "Sanity Unleashed"
Yes, yet another substack….why?
So I have decided to launch my own substack, mainly because loads of people have suggested I should!
I have several reasons for doing this (apart from other people telling me to do it):
Because I seem to be heavily suppressed on X
Because (people tell me) it’s easy to create nice-looking material
Because I want to collate all my thoughts in one place
I like the thoughtful debate which takes place in the comments section under each article. It’s just so much more edifying than the cesspit which X has become.
1. Please bear with me
Firstly I am starting from zero self-publishing knowledge and experience (other than tweet threads), and secondly I have limted time available right now as we are moving house in a few weeks.
2. A bit about me
I started life as a medic.
I have spent a considerable amount of my time in the (big bad) world of Pharma and I have experience of designing, running and reporting clinical trials to a regulatory standard
I have commercial experience of running several companies.
After one such company was sold, I retrained and had a short career as a barrister, so have some understanding of how the law works (or should work).
The intersection of the different strands of my career - law, pharma and medicine - is fascinating to me, and particularly relevant - I think - in the current crisis, as that is what we are surely in right now.
Personally: I am originally from Manchester in the North of England, though my wife and I now live in London. We have 4 adult chidren and 2 grandchildren.
3. What else do I do?
I am co-chair of the Hart Group (substack here) along with Clare Craig Path
I sit on the exec of Panda (Substack here)
I shout into the void a lot on X
4. What to expect
I am going to start off by cross-posting all the articles I have ever authored and co-authored.
Then I will move on to posting my general thoughts about the “covid event” as often as I can.
I am not planning to ever charge for any content.
I may cross-post a lot.
I am open to suggestions as how to deveop this.
